My ferret Rascal has blackheads all over his tail. It can't hurt him, but I'd prefer he regrow his hair lol. I've heard it can be from bathing them too much-he's only been bathed twice in 6 years. (our vet said only to bathe them if they got dirty and mine don't go outside) I also heard that you can use human face wash on the tail but I'm a little hesitant to risk giving him something that could be bad for him. And yes, he has had adrenal disease a year ago (fully cured by surgery) and I took him back when the tail hair started thinning and he had a full body Xray and all kinds of tests and didn't have it again. Plus the hair loss is only on the tail and only where there's blackheads. How can I help my ferret's tail blackheads?
With rat tail, the hair loss will usually being on the tip of the tail or on the underside of the tail. You often see black dots on the tail: these are clogged pores, your garden variety blackheads.
What do you do for a ferret with rat tail? Pretty much the same thing you'd do if you had blackheads on your skin. We use a two-step washing process. We first wash the ferret's tail with ferret shampoo -- these often help to break up the oils. We use a washcloth to help clean out the pores and stimulate some blood flow to the tail (this helps the skin stay healthy). The second step is to wash the tail with a mild anti-acne cleanser or astringent-type cleanser. It's best to choose a product made for sensitive skin. Make sure you rinse thoroughly. Remember, you need to wash only the tail.
You'll have to wash the ferret's tail a few times (every other day is fine) for about a week. When the skin is clear (the blackheads are gone), you can change the frequency to once every week-and-a-half to two weeks.
You can prevent rat tail in many ferrets by paying extra attention to washing the tail whenever you give a bath. For extra help, use a washcloth on your ferret's tail. Some ferrets will get rat tail regardless of what you do to try to prevent it.

Whts the best way to get rid of blackheads ?
do NOT touch them wash them with biore ice cleanser works like a charm...Whts the best way to get rid of blackheads ?
Exfoliate! Exfoliate! Exfoliate!Whts the best way to get rid of blackheads ?
wash your face and use Biore balckhead removing strip
use proactive it works on me.
ever tried using Papaya soap for acne??
you'll need an actual cleanser too tho .. like proactiv .. or Noxema or something like that ...
then use the papaya soap and it works like a charmmmm!!
stop wacking off helps alot
i will recommend one for you, very effective.
scrub ur face with exfoliating cleanser, use the round end of a bobby pin to pop those bad boys out. Put the round part of the bobbypin above the blackhead, pull down applying pressure, this will get the yuck out. when done scrub again with clear soap and then apply super cold water to close the pores.
soap and water but use a soap made to get rid of blackheads
you can use a strip of wax!
But it should be a thin layer and a bit hot than other strips.
another solution is to use baby oil...u can do it before or after showering... u can also leave it on whilst watchin tv or doin ur work... leave it on for abt 10- 15mins.. they'll jus come off naturally and wash it off...
Wash the area at least 2 - 3 times daily. At night after washing, fill the sink w/ hot water, cover your head with a towel and steam your face for about ten mins. Then apply a little witch hazel or alcohol.
dye them with any other colour...
Remember U R what U eat, eat crap %26amp; U skin will suffer.
Lots of hot water, soap %26amp; a recommend skin cleanser will help.
Try not 2 give in2 the urge 2 pick.
use blackhead cream
1.vinegar
2.white wine
3.hydrogen peroxide
4.isoprophyll alcohol
They all work
Peel all yoru skin off and get mummified.
Squeeze them. You know you want to!
Scrub with soap and water.
go get them extracted when you get a facial, they will come back, but there's not much else you can do about them besides micro-dermabrasion treatments... cleansers can not make them go away, scrubs will diminish them but they will just come back!benefit cosmetics

What do dermatologists do when they take out blackheads?
I have breakouts. but to me...that isn't that bad. i have blackheaads on my nose and to me black bumps are worse than red pimples that go away in like 3 days. So ive tried everything for my blackheads..nothing seems to work...so i was thinking of going to a dermatologist to take them out becasue people say that they can do that. for anypne who has been to a dermatologist to get that done...please tell me excactly what they do and use, step by step so i can know....plzz plzz plzz plzz plzz plzz help! What do dermatologists do when they take out blackheads?
Blackheads are the absolute worst! I used to have very, very severe acne. I started getting it when I was 11 [yes, traumatic since no one else was dealing with it] and blackheads were all over my nose and around it. I went to a dermatologist and I wasn't expecting him to get rid of my blackheads, but all of a sudden he pulled out this little silver tool that was a little shorter than a pencil and very thin. At the end of it it was a bit like a foot, flat and thin as well. He used it to push down on the areas around my blackheads, causing them to come to the surface. Had I been expecting him to do it, I would have been nervous for no reason. I felt some pressure, but it never hurt, even the deep ones.
I definately think you should give it a try and also get an acne treatment. It doesn't have to be prescription, although they usually do work best.
Also, here are some tips that may help you out [sorry, I just love to tell people everything I know if I think it can help!]:
1) Change your pillowcases once a week, and halfway through the week flip your pillows over. You'd be amazed at how many bacteria sit there waiting for you to lie your head down every night!
2) Use a GENTLE exfloliating cleanser, a toner, and a lotion with benzoyl peroxide [less than 10% and 5% if you can help it]
3) Don't overwash your face. Once in the morning and at night should do, or if you exercise after you have finished.
4) It might seem strange, but try buying Aveeno's Soothing Bath Treatment and mixing 2-3 tbs [or more if it's needed] with a bit of water until you have a paste. Put it ALL over your face and let it set for 15-20 minutes. It helps lighten scars and it also pulls oil and other icky things out of your skin, helping clear up existing acne and prevent future breakouts. It's amazing. :)
5) Taking vitamins daily is also good, not just for your skin, but your overall health!
I really hope that I was able to help you. I wish I could tell you everything about acne and how to treat it. No one will ever get more sympathy from me than someone suffering from acne. It's horrible. :/ I'm sorry.
My e-mail address is heartandflame@hotmail.com for you or anyone else who may need some help with their skin. :)What do dermatologists do when they take out blackheads?
Aestheticians can extract blackheads too. When getting a facial, your face will be cleansed, exfoliated and then steamed, making the pores open and the sebum (oil) impactions soft and easy to remove. I don't use a tool on my clients (that can cause scarring), I just use my gauze-wrapped fingertips to gently exert pressure on the different areas. The sebum will ooze out easily, clearing the pores. Using a gentle cleanser at home twice daily (Cetaphil is a good one), a gentle scrub (nothing harsh or sharp) a couple of times a week and a clay mask on the oily parts (also 2x weekly) can help - clay is good at absorbing oil. Look for a clay based scrub too, or one with bentonite. And use a water based moisturizer daily, with sunscreen. If you dry your face out too much with benzoyl peroxide or Proactive-type cleansers, the only way your skin has to rehydrate itself is to produce more oil, which is why people who use harsh cleansers have a rebound effect. You want to add water (hydration) back into your skin, not oil.
i have the same problemmm. :[

Whats the homemade remedy to get rid of blackheads?
heyya dear...
There are many things that you can do to prevent blackheads from appearing on your face. Most involve cleansing and some require the use of medications.
Avoid using creamy, greasy, and thick (emollient) products. This alone will greatly lessen your chances of sprouting blackheads.
Use a gentle and water-soluble cleanser.
DO NOT use bar soap!!! The ingredients that hold soap in a bar form can clog the pores in your skin. They can also cause skin cells to flake off prematurely and clog the pores. If you have dry skin you will need to use a cleanser that has a bit of moisturizer in it, but be careful! The excess moisturizers can cause an increase in oil on your skin.
Exfoliate to eliminate dead skin cells. If there are no skin cells to clog the pores, the natural oil is able to flow through freely. Exfoliation also removes the built up dead cells from inside the pores that cause them to become misshapen and more-easily clogged. Using an exfoliant that contains 1% or 2% beta hydroxy acids (BHA or Salicylic Acid) will penetrate the lining of the pore. If you are unable to use BHAs, you could use products containing alpha hydroxy acids (AHA), however these acids are only good for surface exfoliation because they do not penetrate the pore lining.
Absorb excess oil. If you have oily skin, try using a clay mask that does not contain mint, peppermint or other irritating ingredients. This will absorb the oil that may clog the poor. If you have dry skin, this is not necessary because pimples on dry skin are caused by oil inside the pore, not on the surface of the skin. Also, oil-absorbing papers may help to reduce the oil in your pores.
Visit your dermatologist. Retinoids, which are a form of Vitamin A, can help regulate the pore shape which will keep oil flowing normally. The most common retinoids are tretinoin and adapalene, found in prescriptions such as Avita, Renova, Retin-A, Tazorac, and Differin.
Other medications. Hormone blockers and low-dose birth control pills can lower levels of androgens (the male hormone) and Accutane should be discussed with your physician in severe cases of oily skin and breakouts.
Blackhead Removal
Though the best way to remove blackheads is an area of contention, the most common method for getting rid of blackheads is to gently squeeze them. Removing the “stuff” inside of the blackhead helps the skin because you are relieving the pressure which causes the damage. We know it can be nearly impossible to leave a blemish alone so here are some tips for gentle blackhead removal:
Use a mild scrub or exfoliant to remove any dead cells and expose the blackhead.
Pat your face dry.
Place a slightly warm compress on your face for approximately 10-15 minutes in order to soften the blackhead, making it easier to remove.
Pat your face dry again.
Place a piece of tissue on the tip of each finger to avoid slipping, which could tear the skin and cause further damage.
Gently apply even pressure to both sides of the blackhead by pushing down, then up around the blemish. You’re trying to apply the pressure from *underneath* the blackhead.
Only attempt this once or twice. If it does not “pop”, you may bruise the skin, make the blackhead worse, and could cause scarring.
PORE STRIPS: Using pore strips to remove blackheads is not recommended for many reasons:
The warnings on the box tell you not to use them on swollen, irritated, sunburned skin; not to use them on excessively dry skin; and not to use them on any area other than the nose. Also, the warnings state that if the strip is too difficult to remove, you should add water and remove carefully.
Removing the superficial blackheads, along with some healthy skin, will only help temporarily.
Repeated use of pore strips can cause irritation and future breakouts.
The adhesive on the strips can tear or injure the skin, especially if you are using an acne medication such as those listed above, or if you naturally have thin skin due to psoriasis, rosacea, or seborrhea.
Vacuum blackhead removers and blackhead extractors are not recommended for the same reasons as the pore strips. Because blacheads are caused by excessive oil production clogging the pores, the most effective way to get rid of blackheads is to control oil on the face by using mild cleansers and by balancing your hormones.Whats the homemade remedy to get rid of blackheads?

Apply undiluted lemon juice on the affected area. Do this 2 -3 times a day.
Take 2 teaspoons soda bicarbonate. Add this to 3 -4 cups of boiled water. Steam a towel in this and place the towel on face. Repeat this around 5 -6 times a day. Now make a paste by mixing 1 teaspoon curd and 1 teaspoon of rice flour. Rub this paste on the area of blackheads and on getting dry, wash it off with cold water.

How can I get rid of pimples, blemishes, blackheads, pimple scars, etc in around a month?
Please don't mention ProActive, doesn't work for me.
I used to steam my face %26amp; remove blackheads, then use a facial mask, once a week but I haven't had enough time lately... I do use a toner %26amp; moisturiser each morning%26amp;night after shower/washing face.
Ps. I have red splotches on my face, I thought it was maybe an allergic reaction, but idk anymore... it sorta worsens sometimes, though it may be because of the weather (it's the end of winter in Aus). How can I get rid of pimples, blemishes, blackheads, pimple scars, etc in around a month?
it realy sounds to me like you need to go see a dermatolagist if your acne is really bad but if its only around your mouth its hormonal expecially if your a teenager. i'd suggest the best way to get rid of them it go get your skin diagnosed by a beauty therapist adn have them tell you what you need ....its not that expensive. and the only way to prevent scars is DONT pICK OR SQUEEZE YOUR PIMPLES OR BLACK HEADS. it leads to scars and broken capilleries ....have you evr sen those old prople who have red noses and sheeks yes they are broken capilleries on their face and they spread so dont pick them get it professionally dont because your skin may look fine now but in say 15 years it will all show.
How can I get rid of pimples, blemishes, blackheads, pimple scars, etc in around a month?
use something which is natural and doesn't cause any side effects, use face packs, which contains strawberry, sandal wood, or turmeric kind of things. maintaining ur diet properly is also very important
eat lots of leafy vegetables, drink lots of water, juices etc..
try doing some meditation and yoga therapies..
PoreClears works better than ProActive does. ProActive never worked for me either.
If you want to try a natural remedy, using egg whites and egg yolk as a mask really helps. It's pretty gross, but it really does help if you leave it on for about 20 minutes a day.
you don't need to continue with toning creams to avoid bleaching your skin.look for a cleansing liquid basically for your face and avoid oily food items because you have much oil in your system.this will reduce if not eradicate pimples on your body.good luck.
i started buying nature's cure.its a ten dollar pack with 2 sheets of pills and a vanishing cream and its been workin for me.got it at rite aid
ANTI BLEMISH SOLUTIONS NIGHT TREATMENT GEL from clinique to clean your skin
it really effective
Here are some easy home resipies:
Apple Zinger Facial Mask (Oily and Acne Prone Skin)
Take 1 medium size apple, grated fine, 5 tbs. honey. Mix the grated apple and honey well. Smooth over skin and let sit for 15 minutes. Rinse off with cool water.
Cool as a Cucumber Yogurt Facial (Normal/Oily Skin)
1/2 cucumber
1 Tbsp plain yogurt
Puree cucumber in blender mix in yogurt, apply to face. Leave on for 30 minutes. Rinse well.
Honey Mask (Oily/Blemished Skin)
Massage a small amount of slightly heated honey onto skin and leave on for 10-15 minutes. Be sure to wash off all the honey with lukewarm water or the honey left will clog your pores, resulting in more acne. Wheat germ may be added for its abrasive action, protein and nutrients.
Pineapple Olive Oil Mask
In a blender, combine 4 large pineapple chunks or 1/2 cup canned, drained pineapple and 3 tablespoons olive oil. Blend until almost smooth. Apply mixture to face with fingertips and leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse face with warm water and pat dry.
Tomato Blemish Remedy
1 tomato, ripe, chopped
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 T instant style oatmeal or old fashioned rolled oats
Blend all ingredients until just combined, in a paste. Apply to blemished skin, making sure the mixture is thick enough to stay in place. Leave in place 10 minutes. Remove with damp washcloth, and rinse and tone.
Honey Yogurt Exfoliating Facial Scrub
Mix 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar with 陆 teaspoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of plain yogurt. Smooth the mixture over your face and leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse off using lukewarm water.
Oatmeal Exfoliating Facial Scrub
Mix one pack of instant oatmeal with water to create a paste. Once the paste is formed, dab the mixture onto your entire face. Let the mixture set for approximately 2 minutes and rinse off with cold water. According to experts oily skin should be treated with an oatmeal mask to get good results. Oatmeal when mashed not only acts as a great scrub but also effectively soaks away the excess oil from your face. The usage of oatmeal paste must be followed by a cold water rinse that helps in contracting the pores.
Seawater
Wash your face twice a day in warm, salty water. This helps leave your face clean and oil-free -- without employing any potentially irritating products or soaps.
Toning: Egg Whites
Using egg whites is the cheapest and easiest way to tone your skin at home. Simply separate a few raw egg whites into a bowl and apply directly on the facial skin after cleansing. Let the egg white dry for at least 15 minutes and rinse it off with lukewarm water for an instant glow. For acne, take one egg white and put it directly on top of the pimple for 20 minutes.
Garlic
Peel and mash eight cloves of fresh garlic. Apply to face avoiding the area around the eyes. Leave on for about 15 minutes. Wash off with a warm cloth.
Toothpaste
Put toothpaste on your pimples before you go to bed, should help reduce swelling overnight. Make sure it is the paste not the gel.
Baking Soda Solution
You will need 1 tbsp. baking soda, 1 tbsp. water. Mix together ingredients and apply on face allowing it to sit for 15 minutes before rinsing it with warm water. Baking Soda is very cheap and one box will last you a very long time. You can also use baking soda as an exfoliator: be careful when applying it to your face, since it is a very effective scrub. Massage the baking soda into your skin for ten to fifteen seconds and rinse. Your face is now clear of the surface cells that will cause many acne spots.

HELP! i can't get rid of my blackheads?
I wash my face and it is tight and dry. then i put lotion on it looks greasy.I don't have many pimples. I am using clinique morning and night. the clinique 3 step and i tried using differin on my blackheads, clean and clear blackhead scrub, and esta laundree clay mask (i only used that 4 a day though) they won't go AWAY!! please help. I am willing 2 buy something that is gurenteed to work, but not 2 expensive AND if you can re-turn it if it does not work. thanks so much.HELP! i can't get rid of my blackheads?
Your pores are your pores and no matter what a product promises you aren't going to reduce your pore size. I DO believe that if you keep your blackheads at bay, that you can keep your pore size minimized. That is, rather than allowing them to continually fill with dirt and sebum, if they are cleaned on a consistent basies and your skin treated gently, you can help eliminate enlarging pores anymore than they already are.
Start by cleansing your skin very well with something gentle like Cetaphyl cleanser. This will clean your skin without stripping the natural oils and emollients on your skin. Next, use the asprin mask below. It will gently exfoliate your skin and should help your blackheads but remember, you didn't get them overnight so it may take a little bit of time to correct the problem. Chances are that they'll look MUCH better but you need to keep up the routine once a week to help clear out the pores and restore your skin to a radiant glow. Once cleansed, skip toning and follow up with a non-comedogenic moisturizer and/or sunscreen and you're good to go! If your skin is dry (which I'm doubting) or if you find it drying out in the T-zone, cut back your mask to every 2 weeks instead of using a heavier moisturizer.
Please, do not press or squeeze blackheads! Leave any extractions to your dermatologist or esthetician. They know how to easily extract all the dirt and sebum from your pores without any damage to the skin. They're also mindful of sanitation, returning the skin to it's proper pH balance, etc. There are tools used for extraction and if you MUST extract at home, please purchase one and learn how to use it properly and under the correction conditions.
';The aspirin mask is a homemade BHA mask available to each and everyone of us, totally inexpensive and highly efficient, made of salicylic acid or tablets of aspirin. BHA is known to help tremendously with cleaning pores from deep inside and therefore contribute to keeping our skin blemish-free. BHAs are efficient on existing blemishes as well, by helping them heal faster and keeping pores clean afterwards.';
This mask is good for all skin types, especially normal to oily and combination skin, acne-prone and clogged skin.
';Basic preparation: 1/4 tsp. salicylic acid (ask for it at pharmacy, if you cannot find it, then crush 3-5 tablets of plain aspirin instead), distilled water. Mix the powder with the water until it becomes of a creamy consistence, apply on clean dry skin (focus on T-zone and sides of the nose). Keep it on until completely dry. Take a small cotton pad, wet it lightly and begin scrubbing the areas covered with the mask, making small circles. Finally, rinse with plenty of water. It would be excellent to apply a calming mask or a hydrating mask first, followed by your regular moisturizer. Skin will be left completely smooth and even.';

exfoliate your skin. basically any kind of face wash that has those little bead things in it will help.
get a ';pimple popper'; from revlon, it gets the plug of oil out with no scars, once its out it can clear up with good washing and clearasil ultra pads I swera by them..
I used to have the same problem, but once I started exfoliating my blackheads went away as well as the little acne I had. I really like AquaTanica Spa Sea Coral Gentle Face Polish and Patricia Wexler M.D. Exfoliating Acne Cleanser. Both can be bought at Bath and Body Works or Bathandbodyworks.com and cost around $15. Wash your face with either one once a day. Because blackheads are so deep, they are hard to get rid of, so if you don't see results right away just keep washing your face once daily and if you're patient they WILL go away. As for moisture try Clean and Clear facial moisturizers. Any of their facial moisturizers will work and won't leave your skin looking oily.

Hai friends do you have pimples, acne, scars, oily skin on face, If yes don't worry. For this I got relief from one site, In that I got many tips and treatments method's regarding this and Iam normal now you can also look in to this. So go look in this site and be used to it. This site is very very use full for teens and there problems.
I've cleared up several acne problem skin with the Intelligence line from ARBONNE. It works like no other and is pure safe Swiss and botanical.Arbonne goes underneath the skin to work with our saviors glands to cleanse them out and leave your skin smooth and soft and it minimizes your pores. Arbonne is made by the top skin care chemist in the world and think about a weed in the garden if you took scissors and cut the top off what would happen? This is like what other treatments do i don't care what their name is, and what the difference is we go to the root of the problem like you would that weed to pull it out and get rid of it. You can get this off my website by clicking on my profile and if you don't good luck to you. Your welcome. And no little bead things are going to do you any good in the long run. Most important thing is to read ingredients.
Use Clean %26amp; Clear Blackhead Clearing Scrub.. my brother uses it everyday, and his face is so much cleaner! But everyone is different so i don't know if its guaranteed to work with you. ALSO, try not to use to much product on your face, your just over drying you face which produces more oil because your glands are designed to keep your face hydrated. Which leads to clogged pores, and your clogged pores may be the reasoning for your blackheads. So if your going to use Clean %26amp; Clear, ONLY use that product to get maximum results. =]
use face wash..make sure it cleans well though. The beads in the wash will help too. They are moisturizing beads so it will make your face smoother and clear.
well the problem is that blackheads are caused by an overstimulation of oil in the skin just like how pimples are caused. The best thing to do is use something natural that won't imbalance your skins natural oils. The best thing I know of that will sort your problem out is a leaf called fenugreek and if used everynight on your nose it should clear up in a few weeks.
I use St Ives Clay mask twice a week with a Biore strip on my nose and chin immediately afterward. The glycerin in the mask draws the impurities to the surface of your skin and the Biore strip grabs it all out.
I get a MUCH cleaner face and better results with the Biore strips if I do a clay mask first.
Good Luck! I've been doing this for 3 months now and the last time I did a strip my face was so clean that nothing was left to come out on the Biore strip!

My skin finally cleared up, no pimples or blackheads, nothing! I'm soo excited. How can I keep it this way?
So pretty much, for the past 3 years I've had O.K. skin, but there has always been one pimple or blackhead that makes me lack self confidence. Now my skin is so clear, and pretty! I felt proud of who I am today, and I held my head high. What can I do to keep my skin like this? I would be soo upset if I woke up with a pimple or something. I already wash with a moisturizing soap twice a day (once in the morning, once at night) and I exfoliate once a week or less than that sometimes.I eat healthy foods and drink tons of water.I really don't want to go get a product from the store though. PLEASE HELP! It'd mean soo much to me. Thanks=] and the 10 points will be awarded tomorrow or so, after I get a chance to see how all the tips work!My skin finally cleared up, no pimples or blackheads, nothing! I'm soo excited. How can I keep it this way?
Your doing most of what it takes to keep them away. Drinking lots of water, washing face twice a day etc. I would add to try and keep your hair away from your face. Also change your pillow case at least every other day ( or have it washed ). Besides drinking ton of water also stay away from caffeine. Be gentle to your skin and never scrub. Also just try to remain stress free as much as possible. My skin finally cleared up, no pimples or blackheads, nothing! I'm soo excited. How can I keep it this way?
farting alot then smelling it. applying bacon grease 1-4 times an hour. then never showering or washing the face.
JBoaz is a ****** up mother ******........
seriously... you're worrying over like one zit.
i suggest you continue doing what you're doing and who cares there's no way that you're going to be able to do anything to make it impossible for you to get another pimple, ever it happens. And you honestly have no reason at all to get self-conscious and start obsessing over it even if you get a single, unwanted, irritated pore or two or three for that matter.
';You felt proud of who you were'; because you had a few less zits on your face. Honestly If something like that can change your mood and perception of yourself that much you probably have bigger problems. Sorry but the truth hurts...
