Are nose strips the best way to remove blackheads?

i'm planning on getting biore pore strips(you know the ones where you put them on your nose then rip them off) but before i use them i'll put a warm damp wash cloth on my face for 10 mins. will this get rid of my blackheads???? i've had them for a long time and i've got em really bad.

if i use this method every night(along with my normal pattern of purpose, retin-a, then benzicline in the morning) how long until my blackheads are completely gone?????Are nose strips the best way to remove blackheads?
Regardless the type of make-up you use, you'll probably always have black heads... but I use the biore strips and they work GREAT for me... I only use them about once a week, but I wash my face every day/night w/ a regular Nutreogena facial bar (about $2.00 from Wal-Mart) and it keeps them pretty clean and un-noticable! That is all I use, and it keeps them down... Another good thing is to sweat out the dirt and stuff from your pores.... if you don't have a sauna, my mother used to boil hot water, pour it into the sink, and drape a towel over her head, and let the steam sweat - out her pores... it's a pretty good technique if you have the time for it... : ) OH! And when you are done washing your face in the night/morning, splash your face w/ cold water... the cold water will help close up your pores.. I've used biore pore strips for a long time, and have had a little success with them. Recently, however, I started using a benzoyl peroxide gel and have gotten even better results. These gels are a lot less inexpensive (between $2-$5 per tube) than the strips, and I find they work better and are easier to use. I just put the gel on my nose after I wash my face and let it dry. Some popular creams are Clearasil, but I use Walmart's equate brand and am very satisfied.
I had the same problem, and I used those pore strips and they worked wonders on my blackheads. But I would wash my face before putting them on and then rinse my face in hot water before I put the pore strips on. Just know that it will hurt like crap when you pull it off.... but only for a second or two.
