When you squeeze those litle bumps, white heads or blackheads...?

....you get white orb like things, whitish liquid like ones or brownish snake shaped ones out.

What are those bumps (the non-black/white-heads ones) called and what is it you get out of any of the three? Is it a good, bad or both to not have those things in your skin?

If they are a bad thing, will they stay there if I don't get them out by picking them? Is there a way to get them out without damaging skin, like sweating or facials or something? What about really big ones (the orbs from bumps or blackheads), do they need special treatment (my mom said you have to squeeze then or they never come out).

Thanks, if you answer this you're really going to help me get rid of a lot of frustration so answer at least a part please. When you squeeze those litle bumps, white heads or blackheads...?
Whiteheads are hardened sebum ( oil) that has collected beneath the skin. Whiteheads must be extracted by a professional preferably a dermatologist or licensed esthetician. Squeezing them or any of the following disorders out literally tears the skin which can and probably will scar the skin. Blackheads are also considered a skin disorder caused by excessive oil clogging in the hair follicle. That is why you think of it as wormy; it takes the shape of the follicle. Blackheads contain a mixture of the excess oil, dirt, and debris which breeds bacteria. They, too, should be removed professionally to prevent skin scarring. Pimples without fluid or pimples that contain pus should not be removed by forcing the accumulation through the skin by squeezing. Pus is a sign of infection and should not be spread to other areas of your skin or your nails. By following a daily and nightly regimen of keeping your skin clean, toned, and moisturized is the best solution to simple breakouts. Anything other than simple acne should be seen and diagnosed by a dermatologists or skin care specialist. When you squeeze those litle bumps, white heads or blackheads...?
I agree with one(JB) and they are just pimples and boils and some from ingrown hairs or sweating alot....Squeezing can cause more problems since your fingers may not be sterile...and you introduce more dirt into the acne.Stick with acne medication and scrubs and don't pick...if you have one of those big ones that hurt use a astringent and scrub. Keeping your face clean and oil free will help.....
They're all pimples - it just depends on whether the top has dried (blackheads) or are still forming under the surface (white pus). You can cause scaring by squeezing them. There are lots of over the counter facial scrubs and astringents to dry your skin out. Proactive has worked for lots of people but is rather expensive. An abrasive facial scrub followed by an astringent will do just as well. The bottles of acne medication - lots of brands - also help to dry up the white ones faster. Avoid oily based make-up.
Try using a zit zapper, I use one all the time which really helps.
