What is this raised almost blackhead type thing right on my collarbone?

I've had it for a while and it hasn't gone away. I have chicken skin and molluscum (use to, but have scares). It looks like a blackhead, but I can't get rid of it. It is black/purple in color and raised. What can I do??

Any tip would be great!! I'm going on vacation and it really stands out against bright colors and scoop-neck shirts. Please and thank you!!What is this raised almost blackhead type thing right on my collarbone?
....I really hate to say this, but go to a skin specialist and don't wait. If it is what we all don't hope, at least it would be still at a stage where it did not do any harm to you yet. But I read and watched many studies about malicious skin cancer, and there is no joke about it. Unfortunately it grows fast and remains pain free until it has done already major harm by spreading further.

Skin cancer has a variety of looks, but can be detected by a non-expert, simply by this:

Has the spot developed recently and caught you attention?

Has it grown pretty fast?

Does it look ';weird';, not like usual skin imperfections you have had all your life?

Did it grow out of a beauty mark or other skin spot and changed colors/size?

Does it look like the colors are ';bleeding'; into each other?

Does it itch sometimes and would turn the surrounding area red like on an infection after you scratched it?

Is the spot real dark or even black?

Does the shape of the spot change?

I do not want to spread fear, but skin cancer is sneaky and extremely dangerous. Once there, no time is to lose in order to get rid of it. Better be safe than sorry!

Good luck to you!!What is this raised almost blackhead type thing right on my collarbone?
Probably just a cyst from an ingrown hair. However, you should see a dermatologist to be sure.
Sorry sweetie - sounds to me that there's no household solution for something like that - unless you try applying a zinc based cream, that could possibly do the trick within a few days. Other then that - I really suggest going to see a doctor, a tiny something on the skin is not always ( just a tiny something on the skin ). get it checked out.

If all else fails in time for your vacation - apply cover-up!!!!...lol *wink
