It seems that every pore on my nose is a blackhead. I've been using Vichy's Normaderm gel for a year, and while my whole face cleared up (it almost looks as clear as the Vichy model's), the pores on my nose are almost the same. My dermatologist said I have a very mild form of acnea, common among teenagers, only now I'm 21, and doesn't seem to be disappearing. I don't want to try any aggresive solutions like going to a beauty center and have them popped or sth (tried that, no improvement). Please, I need suggestions. How can I deal with stubborn blackheads?
Unfortunately, those with larger pores on the nose usually have blackheads. I agree with answerer above, the Biore strips are good for temporary relief. But they don't rid of the entire blackhead (down to the root), and the pore may very well fill back up.
I use a gentle daily scrub from Aveeno, and go for an occasional facial (they will do extractions). temporary relief of the issue.
I don't think there is an actual way to permanently shrink those pores. take good care of the skin, and use gentle products. How can I deal with stubborn blackheads?
I use Clinique it is a bit pricey but I think worth it . It works very well for me I use the soap, scruffing lotion, and reg. lotion .
all together about 38$ for 6-8 weeks. good luck
St Ives' apricot scrub or face steaming and drink lots of water!! :D
First clean the area throughly with a good cleanser meant for oily skin.Preferably a salicylic acid cleanser.
Then apply an astringent. It helps reduce oiliness. You can find good astringents in the market.
Then apply a medicated soap that contains either benzoyl Peroxide or Resorcinol and Salicylic Acid.
This used over 2 weeks will remove the stubborn blackhead.
A drug called ';ADAPALENE'; can also be used. Its costly but very effective in removing blackheads.
change your diet
You can get strips from the product line Biore to put on your nose and pull them out. it worked for me and it doesn't hurt.
drink lots of water, exfoliate and limit the amount of makeup you wear. Also, exercise can help you flush them out. Good luck!
One Word...
ProActive
exfoliate skin every 2 to 3 days.. remember to also use a non pore clogging moisturizer.. people think because they have oily skin they don't need to moisturize , but they do sometimes if you don't it can be even worse, I found this out the hard way
Rub oatmeal paste on face, leave it to dry for 15 minutes before washing off with cold water. Beat white part of an egg. Add one teaspoon of honey and with a cotton swab, apply it on face. Keep it around half an hour and then rinse with warm water. This is also good for blackheads and dark spots.
