How do i get rid of blackheads?

i have a whole bunch of blackheads on my nose. i just used some biore strips but there is still some on my nose. i think i might have used them wrong. are you suppose to put the sticky plastic side on ur nose or the smooth kinda cloth side? Also i used st. ives apricot scrub before i put on the strips. is this a good idea? should i be using the scrub every day. or can i alternate with just a regular facial cleaner? -i mean like i use the scrub one day and then the other i use the facial cleaner and keep going back and forth? and do i use the strips everyday? basically i want recommendations for a regime. like what should i be using everyday. How do i get rid of blackheads?

i think you should just stick to one %26amp; see if it works if it doesnt then switch to a different one.

i use Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Daily Scrub

its about $5 at Wal-greens, it works great for me.
Clean %26amp; Clear Blackhead clearing scrub i wash my face with it once a day (before i go to bed) with in a couple days they started to clear up
I think you're being way too harsh on your poor skin. While the Biore strips have some immediate effect (wet the smooth shiny side, by the way) i find they feel like removing a bandaid and leave my skin a bit irritated. For a daily regimen, i find Proactiv to be great at maintaining clear skin. I supplement this with a masque from Kiehl's (Rare-Earth Facial Cleansing Masque). Also, if you buy from Kiehl's you get great samples! I've been using this masque about a month and after about two weeks the blackheads were gone and my pores in general were tighter.
Beat white part of an egg. Add one teaspoon of honey and with a cotton swab, apply it on face. Keep it around half an hour and then rinse with warm water. This is also good for blackheads and dark spots. Check out http://useinfo-blackhead.blogspot.com/ for more useful tips to control blackheads.
You are supposed to put the water on the shiny, smooth side of the strip and stick it on your nose.

And I used the apricot scrub too, but I only used it in the morning every day. I put lotion that wouldn't clog pores on my nose after I used the strips.
Cleanse the face thoroughly with a good cleanser meant for oily skin. Preferrably use a salicylic acid cleanser.

Apply an astringent like witch hazel. It helps reduce oiliness. If its a bit harsh mix a bit of rose water in it.

Apply a good quality medicated cream or gel containing resorcinol, salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. This helps is soaking the oil and helps in peeling away the blackheads. You can get creams or gels of Benzoyl Peroxide treating blackheads If benzoyl peroxide leaves your skin dry, apply an oil-free moisturizer after 10 mins of applying benzoyl peroxide.

Effective Tips to get rid of blackheads

鈥xfoliate the blackhead prone area 3-4 times a week using facial exfoliators and scrubs.

鈥se creams containing AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Fruit acids) like glyco-creams that will clear away any dead skin cells and ';expose'; the blackhead. Use the AHA's every 3 days or so.

鈥void washing the face with soaps more than twice a day. Instead wash your face often with plain water splashes.

鈥ften use a mask with a clay base.

If blackheads look ready to pop out, you could try removing them gently by using a blackhead extractor. Also, Pore cleanser strips (blackhead extractor) for removal of blackheads are highly recommended for the treatment/removal of blackheads. Using them once per week will leave your pores cleaner and smaller.

Steam your face to soften both the skin and the material blocking the pores.
